Relief Efforts

The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation and the Ralph Lauren Corporation share a commitment to providing timely assistance for those in crisis. Each year, the Foundation supports numerous relief efforts around the world, the largest of which was our COVID-19 response in 2020. Most recently, in FY23, the Foundation and Corporation collectively provided $2 million in funding to support global relief and emergency response efforts including Ukraine and the Syria/Turkey Earthquake.

COVID-19 Relief

Responding to the COVID-19 crisis that emerged in 2020, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation committed $10 million to help our teams, partners and communities impacted by the pandemic.

Throughout 2020, the funds benefited our communities as we took the following actions:

  • Provided financial grants through the Emergency Assistance Foundation for Ralph Lauren colleagues facing special circumstances like medical, eldercare or childcare needs;
  • Contributed to the World Health Organization COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, a global effort supporting countries to prevent, detect, and respond to the pandemic;
  • Built on our 20-year commitment to cancer care through our Pink Pony Fund by supporting our long-standing network of international cancer institutions that are caring for people with cancer who are especially vulnerable at this time; and
  • Committed to an inaugural gift to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) / Vogue Fashion Fund’s A Common Thread initiative for COVID-19 relief to support the American fashion community impacted by the pandemic.

Additionally, in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), the Foundation allocated a portion of its relief funds to manufacture and donate 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns to workers on the front lines.

Ralph Lauren Gives Back

Matching Gift & Volunteering

Ralph Lauren Gives Back (RLGB) is a joint program between the Company and the Foundation that enables Ralph Lauren employees to volunteer year-round across causes that are aligned with our collective strategic focus areas. Funding for volunteer opportunities may come from the Foundation or the Company to maximize support for employees who wish to give back, both in-person and virtually. In FY22, we enhanced the Ralph Lauren Gives Back program by expanding our volunteer opportunities from three weeks per year to four focus months, one for each of the philanthropic focus areas, to afford employees the flexibility to volunteer throughout the year.

Through the Ralph Lauren Employee Matching Gift program, donations between $25 and $1,000 made to nonprofit organizations by Company employees who have been with the Ralph Lauren Corporation for at least one year are matched on a one-to-one basis by the Foundation, up to a total of $1 million per fiscal year. To date, teams from all around the world have taken part in this program, which now includes grants to more than 500 nonprofits across 21 countries.
