Cancer Care & Prevention
Founded in 2001, the Pink Pony Fund of The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is our longstanding effort to support cancer-fighting organizations around the world. Through the Pink Pony Fund, we aim to reduce disparities in cancer care and prevention to help ensure that people in underserved communities have access to quality treatment at an earlier, more curable stage.
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation’s Support to Reduce Disparities in Cancer Care
In 2022, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation committed to providing $25 million in new grant funding – the largest single funding pledge in the Foundation’s history - to establish or expand five Ralph Lauren cancer centers aimed at reducing disparities in cancer care and access across underserved communities in the United States.
The $25 million commitment, benefitting institutions with a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation, has been recognized by The White House as a leading example of public and private sector partners coming together and answering its Cancer Moonshot call to action to accelerate progress against the disease.
NEW YORK | Memorial Sloan Kettering Ralph Lauren Center (MSK RLC)
For 20 years, MSK RLC has offered cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and support services in a warm and welcoming environment. Since opening in 2003, MSK RLC has received over 220,000 patient visits, serving as a beacon for accessible, compassionate cancer care for residents of Harlem and beyond. MSK RLC’s supportive services include treatment, a renowned patient navigation program, financial counseling and an array of social services. There is also a medically tailored food pantry supplemented with nutritional counseling. MSK RLC is highly active in the community, providing health education and health screenings and promoting health and wellness for area residents.
WASHINGTON, D.C. | The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center
Opened in April 2023, the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is focused on reducing disparities in prevention and care affecting the city’s underserved communities. Situated in Washington D.C. S.E., the Center serves a diverse population, engaging the community through targeted outreach and educational workshops while providing legal services, patient navigation and clinical trial enrollment to 500+ patients each year.
LOS ANGELES | The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at The University of Southern California, Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center
Opened in October 2024, The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at USC Norris is our first center on the West Coast and aims to improve access to high-quality cancer screening services and timely treatment for underserved communities throughout Los Angeles County, one of the most diverse counties in the nation.
In line with USC Norris’ strategic priorities for cancer care, the Ralph Lauren Center will focus on addressing disparities in risk and outcomes for cancers of the cervix, breast, colon and lung.

- Avera's Walking Forward program, working to increase cancer survival rates among American Indians and other rural South Dakota residents.
- Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health’s innovative tablet-based intervention to improve breast cancer screening rates in Chinle, AZ (Navajo Nation) and Whiteriver (White Mountain Apache).
- Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center “Spa Day”, which expands the Los Angeles clinic’s operating hours so women can receive critical women’s health preventative services without missing work.
- Volunteer opportunities for Ralph Lauren employees, including American Cancer Society walks and runs and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual “Light the Night” walk.

Protect the Environment
The Foundation strives to make meaningful progress to protect our planet by partnering with organizations focused on local community needs, including safe water, adequate sanitation and proper hygiene solutions and sustainable cotton development.
WATER ACCESSIBLIITY & SUSTAINABILITY | DigDeep
DigDeep works to ensure that every person living in the U.S. has clean, running water and proper sanitation. DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project is a community-managed utility alternative that brings hot and cold running water to homes inNavajo Nation. Following an initial three-year commitment in 2020, in 2023 the Foundation made a new three-year commitment to support the implementation of DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project, which serves hundreds of Navajo families each year.
With this support, DigDeep’s team successfully brought clean, running water and safe sanitation to over 350 households in 2023 and expanded the Navajo Water Project service area from 19 Chapters to 31 Chapters across Navajo Nation.
WATER ACCESSIBLIITY & SUSTAINABILITY | WaterAid
The Foundation supports WaterAid, a nonprofit organization with a focus on improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Since 2022, the Foundation has supported WASH programming in Budhni, India. Most recently, WaterAid significantly exceeded its goals by directly assisting over 6,500 individuals with water access, far surpassing the original target of 5,000.
SOIL & COTTON HEALTH | U.S. Regenerative Cotton Fund
Through a grant from the Foundation, in 2021, the Soil Health Institute (SHI) created the U.S. Regenerative Cotton Fund (USRCF), a farmer-facing, science-based initiative that supports long-term, sustainable cotton production in the U.S., with the goal of eliminating one million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent from the atmosphere by 2026. The USRCF works to empower growers and their trusted advisors with the education, tools, information and networks they need to successfully adopt regenerative soil health systems.

Advocacy & Access
Across our work in advocacy and access, the Foundation directly funds and fosters programs that champion DE&I initiatives, women’s empowerment and health & wellness.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Scholarships
Since 2021, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation partnered with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Morehouse College, and Spelman College to provide scholarships for Black, African and African American students studying at HBCUs across the country.
The $2 million commitment will help create more pathways for equity within the fashion industry and beyond, beginning with education. In addition to Morehouse College and Spelman College, Foundation Scholarship grants will benefit eligible students at 10 HBCUs over a five-year period.
Hetrick-Martin Institute
A longtime ally of LGBTQIA+ communities, the Foundation has partnered with many organizations, including the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) — the oldest LGBTQIA+ youth nonprofit in the U.S. The Institute provides critical social services to at-risk, LGBTQIA+ youth, primarily those of color.
For more than 15 years, the Foundation has partnered with HMI on Café HMI, which addresses hunger and food insecurity through its meal program. In addition to providing meals, HMI offers its youth members free, high-quality mental health and social services, essential items such as toiletries and clothing, as well as remote and in-person programming services focused on education, workforce development, and arts and culture.
Supporting HIV/AIDS Inititatives
The Foundation is a longstanding supporter of communities affected by HIV and AIDS and has contributed to a number of HIV/AIDS initiatives, including:
- Treatment and cure research, along with advocacy initiatives, led by amFAR, Foundation for AIDS Research
- Funding provided to the Elton John AIDS Foundation to help provide access to HIV services & care as well as reduce the stigma around the disease globally
- Honoring the more than 100,000 New Yorkers who have died of AIDS as a named sponsor of the New York City AIDS Memorial and continuing to support through their cultural programming
- Supporting AIDS Walks for over 30 years across the U.S. in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles

Whether it’s donating toward relief efforts, supporting Matching Gift programs or encouraging employee volunteerism, the Foundation-supported grants and projects aim to help communities-in-need build resiliency and thrive.
Relief Efforts
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation and the Ralph Lauren Corporation share a commitment to providing timely assistance for those in crisis. Most recently, the Foundation and the Company collectively supported global relief and emergency response efforts, including in Ukraine, Syria/Turkey and Hawaii.
RALPH LAUREN GIVES BACK | Matching Gift & Volunteering
Ralph Lauren Gives Back (RLGB) is a joint, year-round program between the Company and the Foundation that enables Ralph Lauren employees to volunteer year-round across causes that are aligned with our collective strategic focus areas.
Ralph Lauren employees contributed over 10,000 volunteer hours to charitable organizations globally.
Through the Ralph Lauren Employee Matching Gift program, employee donations are matched on a one-to-one basis by the Foundation, up to a total of $1 million per fiscal year, funding grants to more than 600 nonprofits across 18 countries.
