Cancer Care & Prevention
Founded in 2001, the Pink Pony Fund of The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is our longstanding effort to support cancer-fighting organizations around the world. Through the Pink Pony Fund, we aim to reduce disparities in cancer care and prevention for those in need to help ensure that everyone has access to quality treatment at an earlier, more curable stage.
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation’s Support to Reduce Disparities in Cancer Care
In 2022, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation committed to providing $25 million in new grant funding – the largest single funding pledge in the Foundation’s history – to establish or expand five Ralph Lauren cancer centers aimed at reducing disparities in cancer care and access across underserved communities.
NEW YORK | Memorial Sloan Kettering Ralph Lauren Center (MSK RLC)
For 20 years, MSK RLC has offered cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and support services in a warm and welcoming environment. Since opening in 2003, MSK RLC has received over 220,000 patient visits, serving as a beacon for accessible, compassionate cancer care for residents of Harlem and beyond. MSK RLC’s supportive services include treatment, a renowned patient navigation program, financial counseling and an array of social services. There is also a medically tailored food pantry supplemented with nutritional counseling. MSK RLC is highly active in the community, providing health education, health screenings and promoting health and wellness for area residents.
WASHINGTON, D.C. | The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center
Opened in April 2023, the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is focused on reducing disparities in prevention and care affecting the city’s communities. Situated in Washington D.C., S.E., the Center serves and engages the local community through targeted outreach and educational workshops while providing legal services, patient navigation and clinical trials enrollment for more than 500 participants each year.
LOS ANGELES | The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at The University of Southern California, Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center
Opened in October 2024, The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at USC Norris is our first center on the West Coast and aims to improve access to high-quality cancer screening services and timely treatment for communities throughout Los Angeles County.
In line with USC Norris’ strategic priorities for cancer care, the Ralph Lauren Center will focus on addressing disparities in risk and outcomes for cancers of the cervix, breast, colon and lung.
CHICAGO | University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center
In 2026, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation announced it had awarded a grant to the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center to establish the UChicago Medicine Ralph Lauren Center. The UChicago Medicine Ralph Lauren Center will enhance access to high-quality cancer screening, comprehensive cancer care and support services, serving community members in Chicago’s South Side and Southland communities.
UNITED STATES | Pink Pony Fund Grantees Addressing Disparities
- Avera’s Walking Forward program, works to increase cancer survival rates among American Indians and other rural South Dakota residents.
- Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health’s innovative tablet-based intervention aims to improve breast cancer screenings in Chinle, AZ (Navajo Nation) and Whiteriver, AZ (White Mountain Apache).
- Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center "Spa Day," expands the Los Angeles clinic hours so women can access services without missing work.
- Volunteer opportunities for Ralph Lauren employees, including American Cancer Society walks/runs and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual “Light the Night” walk.

Whether it’s donating toward local initiatives or relief efforts, supporting Matching Gift programs or encouraging employee volunteerism, the Foundation-supported grants and projects aim to help communities-in-need build resiliency and thrive.
Relief Efforts
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation and the Ralph Lauren Corporation share a commitment to providing timely assistance for those in crisis. Most recently, the Foundation and the Company collectively supported global relief and emergency response efforts for the Los Angeles wildfires.
RALPH LAUREN GIVES BACK | Matching Gift & Volunteering
Ralph Lauren Gives Back (RLGB) is a joint year-round program between the Company and the Foundation that enables Ralph Lauren employees to volunteer year-round across causes that are aligned with our collective strategic focus areas. In FY26:
- Ralph Lauren employees contributed over 15,000 volunteer hours to charitable organizations globally.
- Through the Ralph Lauren Employee Matching Gift program, employee donations are matched on a one-to-one basis by the Foundation, up to a total of $1 million per fiscal year, funding grants to more than 650 nonprofits across 18 countries.
Hetrick-Martin Institute
A longtime ally of LGBTQIA+ communities, the Foundation has partnered with many organizations, including the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) — the oldest LGBTQIA+ youth nonprofit in the U.S. The Institute provides critical social services to at-risk, LGBTQIA+ youth, primarily those of color.
For more than 15 years, the Foundation has partnered with HMI on Café HMI, which addresses hunger and food insecurity through its meal program. In addition to providing meals, HMI offers its youth members free, high-quality mental health and social services, essential items such as toiletries and clothing, as well as remote and in-person programming services focused on education, workforce development, and arts and culture.
Supporting HIV/AIDS Initiatives
The Foundation is a longstanding supporter of communities affected by HIV and AIDS and has contributed to a number of HIV/AIDS initiatives, including:
- Treatment and cure research, along with advocacy initiatives, led by amFAR, Foundation for AIDS Research
- Funding provided to the Elton John AIDS Foundation to help provide access to HIV services & care as well as reduce the stigma around the disease globally
- Honoring the more than 100,000 New Yorkers who have died of AIDS as a named sponsor of the New York City AIDS Memorial and continuing to support through their cultural programming
- Supporting AIDS Walks for over 30 years across the U.S. in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles
